About Initial Point Consulting
My name is Dave Green and I started Initial Point Consulting to get back to my roots. After spending over a decade developing a web application and services business I was left with a couple of choices - to close my business and find a job, or start doing the things I am best at. I chose the latter!
My personal experience with advertising, marketing and media began as a 5 year old hanging around the backroom of a daily newspaper in Nampa, Idaho. Watching the press gobble up forests of paper and the bib-overalled typesetters pounding out lead type on their huge Linotype machines was a thrill. I was there when my father jumped into the newspaper business with the advent of the offset printing revolution of the mid-sixties and learned how to run a Headliner when I was 12, just about the time the Beatles landed in New York and were featured on the Ed Sullivan Show.
My interests changed with the 60's - whose didn't? I was swept up by the cultural revolution but never got too far away from the idea that publishing was key to communicating change to a broad audience. Underground newspapers, the draft and my education took me toward law and then in the 1978 I got swallowed up by the computer revolution. The rest is, well, history.
Now I am going totally virtual. By creating a virtual agency, you don't pay for overhead and extra staff. And I get the fun of pulling together great teams and resources we need to develop the right blend of print and interactive media for your specific needs and budget. I look forward to helping you develop a strategic marketing plan regardless of the size of your company or organization and creating the type of results most people think only the big companies should expect!
